Zermatt, nestled at the base of the iconic Matterhorn, is home to the highest skiing domain in the Alps. With year-round skiing and 300 days of sunshine, the village is a world-class destination for both skiing and mountaineering, as well as gastronomy, shopping and its historic past.
The prestigious 7 Heavens project is home to the resort’s newest and most luxurious properties. Chalet Elbrus, completed in 2015, is one of the seven new chalets, and sleeps up to 12 in 5 bedrooms. This magnificent 565m2 chalet faces due South-West with extraordinary views of the Matterhorn. It is ideally located at the heart of the village, close to the shopping, night life, restaurants and main railway station, and is just a short stroll from the Sunnegga funicular. This lift whisks you up to the ski slopes in just three minutes.
The 7 Heavens chalets share an impressive entrance, leading into a lobby and central living room where they can relax and unwind with a drink from the bar. There is a state of the art gym for the use of all 7 Heavens guests, as well as a grand, dedicated cigar lounge for a refined evening’s relaxation. On entering the chalet itself, you can deposit your skis and boots in your private ski room, and then you are whisked up through the chalet in your private lift.
Set out over four floors, the chalet’s authentic timbers and woods are complemented with plush furnishings to create a truly luxurious space. With ultra-modern design and the latest sound and vision technology, it is an impressive property for even the most discerning client. This is blended seamlessly with traditional alpine features and materials, such as high beamed ceilings of old wood and soft furs.
The top floor of the chalet is home to an impressive living and dining area, with picture windows opening out onto the balcony and framing the panoramic views. Sink into the comfortable sofas and enjoy the cosy warmth of the fire, or relax in the balcony seating and look out across the village and the Matterhorn with a glass of champagne. Your private spa is located on this floor as well, with a large indoor hot tub and sauna to unwind in.
Two master bedrooms occupy the second floor of the property, both of which have beautiful mountain views from their south-west aspect. The main master bedroom has a dressing area and en-suite, while the other has an en-suite shower room. All of Chalet Elbrus’s bedrooms benefit from flat-screen TV and integrated sound systems.
The first floor is home to three further bedrooms; a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room, a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room, and a bunk room sleeping 4 with en-suite shower room. The TV/cinema room is also located on this floor.
As well as the open plan kitchen on the top floor of the property, the chalet has a private professional kitchen where your staff will prepare your meals.
Chalet Elbrus can be rented in conjunction with Chalet Acongagua or Chalet Kilimanjaro for large groups. Together they sleep up to 36 guests, making it the perfect, luxurious option for large families or corporate groups.
